FATIMA
my graduation film coming 2025
“FATIMA” is an animated documentary that tells the story of my mother, Fatima Jam, and her childhood during the Lebanon-Israel war and the Israeli occupation of South Lebanon. It is set in Tyre, Lebanon, from 1978 to 1990. We will experience her formative years with sad but also beautiful moments through Fatimas own eyes.
The Film is being produced with Toon Boom Harmony and is going to be finished in 2025.
During these times it’s important to remember: what Fatima endured in the past is something children in Gaza and Lebanon face every day today. Lets remember that and use animation for the greater good of spreading awareness. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team for their dedication to this project. Special thanks to Professor Peter Kaboth for his invaluable support and guidance, Ansgar Maßmann for everything he taught me, my family for supporting us and most of all, my mother for sharing her inspiring story.
